The main purpose of the motorcycle helmet is to circumvent severe injuries caused by an accident. These helmets have come a long way and their safety and design have improved considerably. The potential for injuries in the case of riding motorcycles was the object of careful investigation a long time ago and since then companies have done their best to come up with safer helmets.
The evolution of motorcycle helmets was a slow one and at the beginning, it did not have a scientific basis. The early helmets were made of several materials such as pith or leather and they were not very effective; people wore them because they had no other choice. Due to the technology progress and to the mechanic studies, the function and the design of the motorcycle helmet underwent significant levels of improvements. The improvements took place to what concerns the helmets’ shape, the introduction of plastics and the methods that secure the helmet to the head.

Husqvarna Motorcycles are a world renown company that has been around since the beginning of the 1900’s. In the mid-1900’s, Husqvarna motorcycles were untouchable and dominate in every division until a change in ownership made it difficult to keep up with the high demand for production. Since then, Husqvarna has been slowly working its way back into the racing scene but with little success until now. The Husqvarna motorcycle company was sold once again in July of 2007. Will this new change in ownership be enough to bring Husqvarna motorcycles back into the #1 position?
The legend of Husqvarna motorcycles started back when Husqvarna rolled out its first production motorcycle in 1903 from their factory located in Huskvarna, Sweden. Husqvarna has always been known for producing world-class motocross and enduro bikes with unbelievable sling-shot power bands. Husqvarna won many world championships back in the 60’s and 70’s in both motocross and enduro classes. Husqvarna was winning championships in all of the 125, 250, 350, and 500cc divisions with some years winning multiple championships.

The Mode T was rolling out in 1913 and the streets becoming crowded in New York City. At this time two Russian immigrants, brothers, came up with an idea and went after their piece of the big dream. Jack and Irving Schott began making raincoats and sold them door to door all over New York City.
